Betty (Shepard) Young

Betty J. Young age 72 years of McDermott, Ohio formerly of West Union passed away Saturday March 2, 2019 at her residence.  Betty was born on February 11, 1947 the daughter of the late Earl W. and Emma Jean (Gaffin) Shepard in Bentonville, Ohio. Besides her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Wayne Young.

Survivors include her daughter Joni Bentley and Frank Sims of McDermott, Ohio; son Jeremy Young and Brandy of Mt. Orab, Ohio; two grandchildren Wesley Bentley and Wyatt Young; three brothers Jim Brumley and Earl Dean Shepard both of Tipp City, Ohio; Frank Shepard of Mason, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home with Cliff Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM the day of the service.
