James E Allen

James E Allen, age 89 of Georgetown, OH passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 9,1929 in Fleming County, KY the son of the late George E. and Effie (Kissick) Allen. He was a construction worker for Hinkle Construction Co. and a member of the Apple Street Christian Church in Georgetown.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife Dora and his second wife Mildred, daughter, Judy Allen Mayne, 6 brothers, Clayton, Don, Owen, Ivan, Bob and Ken Allen, 2 sisters, Dorothy James and Maxine Hickerson.

James is survived by his wife Wanda Dyer Carrington Allen of Georgetown, 1 son, Arv (Judy) Allen of Morehead, KY, 3 daughters, Carol Allen of Dayton, OH, Phyllis Allen of Dayton, OH, Ruby (Johnny) Hord of Foxport, KY, 1 brother, David (Beulah) Allen of Mason Co, KY, 2 sisters, Naomi Ross of Flemingsburg, KY, Leota (Clyde) Moyers of Tilton, KY, sister in law, Marilyn Allen, several step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville with John Conley and Paul Morris officiating. Interment will follow at the East Liberty Cemetery in Lynx, OH. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
