Obituary

Barbara Ellen Leedy Mandery, age 87, of Portsmouth, Ohio died March 6, 2023 at the Rosemount Pavilion Nursing Home in Portsmouth.  Barbara was born June 1, 1935 in Buena Vista, Ohio, daughter of the late Estel and Gladys Womacks Leedy.  She was the widow of the late Dave Mandery.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Gaynell Gose and Sue Leedy; brother, Charles Leedy and grandson, Nathaniel Kennedy.

Barbara dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  Barbara loved to cook and spend time outdoors in the sun.

She is survived by her children, Roger (Marge) Kennedy of Lucasville, Ohio, Brenda (Jack) Smith of St. Marys, West Virginia and Vickie (Tim) Bivens of Manchester; sister, Carolyn Rice of Bermen, Kentucky; grandchildren, Michael, Cassie, Erica, Chad, Travis, Breanna and Andrea; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Leedy along with several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at McKendree Cemetery in Nile Township, Scioto, County.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
