Karen S. (Rawlings) Grooms

Karen S. Grooms, 78, of West Union, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her residence.  She was born April 28, 1944 in Scioto County, daughter of the late Elvy and Mary Slack Rawlings.  She was the widow of the late, Larry Grooms, who passed away in 2020. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Juanita Sue Cooper; sisters, Nellie Stiles and Mandy Hammons; brothers, Jerry Howard and Robert Rawlings.

She is survived by her sons, Brent (Jamie) Denning and Charles Cooper; grandchildren, Trenton (Chelsee) Denning, Jaylee Denning, Charlie and Lee Cooper; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Clarence (Angie) Rawlings and Lewis Rawlings. 

Karen will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at New Beginning Church, 409 E. Second St., Manchester.  Pastor Dale Little will officiate.  Inurnment will take place at 4:30 PM, Saturday, at West Union Village Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
